My name is Gabriela Diaz and I'm an Illustrator!

I mostly focus on book illustration and portraiture, but I’m open to other art opportunities that come my way-whether it's traditional art, digital art, or somewhere in between! As you can see from my portfolio, love to use bright colors, different textures, and getting to draw anything that reminds me of historical fashion.

I was born in Puerto Rico and that definitely influences my work in the way that I think of color or how I design characters. When I’m not working on illustrations or participating in local art fairs, I’m an assistant for El Colectivo Moriviví. It’s a muralist collective here on the island that focuses on community based public art.

I graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in 2019 where I majored in Illustration with a double minor in Art History and Sequential Arts. One of my goals is to go back to school for a masters degree in history/art history.
